Virginia Blasters Can’t Catch Up To Suffolk Voyagers

Virginia Blasters watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-6 loss to Suffolk Voyagers on Thursday.

Virginia Blasters collected three hits and Suffolk Voyagers had seven in the high-scoring affair.

In the first inning, Suffolk Voyagers got their offense started when Aaron Morse grounded out, scoring one run.

Jack Ritzer earned the win for Suffolk Voyagers. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs on three hits. Hyeon-Ho Cho and Jacob Faivre entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Clayton Ditty took the loss for Virginia Blasters. He lasted two innings, allowing four hits and six runs.

Gage Riddick started the game for Suffolk Voyagers. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while walking zero

Devon TukesChris Guiles, and Tyler Thomas each collected one hit to lead Virginia Blasters.

Matthew Staelgraeve led Suffolk Voyagers with two hits in two at bats. Suffolk Voyagers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Nathan Mix made the most plays with five. Suffolk Voyagers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Alex Miller led the way with two.
