Outer Banks Daredevils Outdone By Suffolk Voyagers, 9-5

Suffolk Voyagers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Jimmy Griffin singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the first inning, Outer Banks Daredevils tied things up at two. Hunter Ramerizsingled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Suffolk Voyagers pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third South Trimble singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Nick Davis singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Matthew LaBadie doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, Griffingrounded out, scoring one run, Bryce Smith doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Christopher Allen singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Gage Riddick was the winning pitcher for Suffolk Voyagers. He allowed six hits and three runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six. Nathan Mix and Steven Adamson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Norfolk Redbirds Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Virginia Blasters

Norfolk Redbirds stole the lead late and defeated Virginia Blasters 5-1 on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Norfolk Redbirds batting in the bottom of the sixth when Darren McKeownsingled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Virginia Blasters opened up scoring in the first inning, when Shane Steinard grounded out, scoring one run.

Norfolk Redbirds knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning, when Carlo Zorola singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Norfolk Redbirds pulled away for good with four runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Nicholas Hussey doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run and Peter Stauber singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Marco Quintero got the win for Norfolk Redbirds. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. Davis Gurosky and Tyrin Everette entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Zac Capps took the loss for Virginia Blasters. He allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Portsmouth Yardbirds had trouble keeping up with Outer Banks Daredevils in a 12-5 loss on Thursday.

Outer Banks Daredevils got on the board in the first inning. Jordan Banks doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Outer Banks Daredevils took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Justin Taylor singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Hunter Rameriz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Tre Jones doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, and Hunter McKown tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Robert Olah was the winning pitcher for Outer Banks Daredevils. He allowed one hit and three runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Dashon CarterCody Schneider, and Stephen Polansky all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Dominque Barnes took the loss for Portsmouth Yardbirds. He lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out one.

Suffolk Voyagers Nabs Win Over Greenbrier Knights Despite Early 3-Run Inning

Suffolk Voyagers claimed a 11-5 victory on Thursday, despite a big push by Greenbrier Knightsin the fifth inning. Greenbrier Knights‘s big inning was driven by a triple by Zack Will, an error on a ball put in play by Stefan Lesco, and a double by Scott McDonough.

Suffolk Voyagers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Aaron Morse singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Suffolk Voyagers put up four runs in the eighth inning. Matthew Staelgraeve and Pedro Mendezall contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Jared Moore was on the pitcher’s mound for Suffolk Voyagers. He allowed six hits and five runs over five innings, striking out five.

Kevin Restin toed the rubber for Greenbrier Knights. He went eight innings, allowing 11 runs on 18 hits, striking out three and walking one.

Lakewood Legends Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Virginia Beach Shredders

Lakewood Legends ran off with the lead late in the game in an 11-8 victory over Virginia Beach Shredders on Thursday. The game was tied at seven with Lakewood Legends batting in the bottom of the sixth when Austin Kirkpatrick singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Virginia Beach Shredders scored six runs in the third inning, but Lakewood Legends still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Virginia Beach Shredders came thanks to a walk by Patrick Aitken, a home run by Tyler Keaton, and a double by Nick Mackedon.

Lakewood Legends got things moving in the second inning, when Logan Dunbar doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Lakewood Legends took the lead for good with one run in the sixth inning.

Azriel Davidson earned the victory on the hill for Lakewood Legends. He surrendered seven runs on five hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Bren FaulkDylan Schumacher, and Samuel Smith all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Schumacher recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Lakewood Legends.

Mason Brown took the loss for Virginia Beach Shredders. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out one and walking one.

The Tidewater Collegiate Summer Baseball League will hold it’s annual All Star Game on Sunday, June 30th, at Virginia Wesleyan’s Perry Field. Start time is scheduled for 1:00pm.

Admission is free and open to the public. Cooler’s are allowed, no glass bottles.

Outer Banks Daredevils scores more runs than Greenbrier Knights, takes victory on Wednesday to the tune of 4-3

Outer Banks Daredevils pulled away for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Outer Banks Daredevils scored one run on a stolen base.

Matthew Holler pitched Outer Banks Daredevils to victory.
