PCL South All Stars Defeats PCL North All Stars, 6-4
Historic Hicks Field was filled with eager fans as the 2022 Premier Collegiate League All Star Game got underway last night in Edenton, NC.
It was a great night for the fans who made their way to Historic Hicks Field, as they were entertained with big league diving catching, great defensive plays, outstanding pitching performances, some great hits, including a three run home run that eventually was the difference in this 6 – 4 game.
PCL South All Stars got on the board in the first inning when Nate Paulson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
PCL North All Stars evened things up at one in the top of the third inning when Phil Forbes grounded into a double play, scoring one run.
PCL South All Stars pulled away for good with three runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Chase Heath homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.
Porter Braddy earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for PCL South All Stars. The ace lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Tanner Thach recorded the last three outs to earn the save for PCL South All Stars.
