Virginia Beach Shredders Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Virginia Beach Shredders fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 14-5 loss to Outer Banks Daredevils on Tuesday. Outer Banks Daredevils scored on a single by Hunter McKownin the second inning, a single by Mykal Martin in the second inning, a triple by Hunter Ramerizin the second inning, a double by Tre Jones in the second inning, and a groundout by Dominick Claxton in the third inning.

The Virginia Beach Shredders struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Outer Banks Daredevils, giving up 14 runs.

In the second inning, Outer Banks Daredevils got their offense started when McKown singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Ryan Andrzejczyk was the winning pitcher for Outer Banks Daredevils. He allowed four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out ten and walking zero. Kole Register and Chris Dayentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Patrick Mason took the loss for Virginia Beach Shredders. He went four innings, allowing ten runs on seven hits and striking out three.

Virginia Beach Shredders hit one home run on the day. Tyler Keaton went deep in the seventh inning.

Patrick Aitken went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Virginia Beach Shredders in hits.
