Lakewood Legends Drops Game To Outer Banks Daredevils After Late Score

Lakewood Legends lost the lead late in a 10-9 defeat to Outer Banks Daredevils on Friday. The game was tied at eight with Outer Banks Daredevils batting in the top of the ninth when Robert Olah homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Lakewood Legends did collect 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Outer Banks Daredevils had 13 hits on the way to victory.

Lakewood Legends opened up scoring in the second inning, when Bren Faulk drew a walk, scoring one run.

Outer Banks Daredevils knotted the game up at eight in the top of the eighth inning, when Hunter McKown drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Outer Banks Daredevils scored one run in the top of the seventh, Lakewood Legendsanswered with one of their own. Outer Banks Daredevils scored when Tre Jones grounded out, scoring one run. Lakewood Legends then answered when Austin Kirkpatrick hit a solo homer.

Lakewood Legends notched three runs in the fifth inning. Lakewood Legends‘s offense in the inning came from a single by Samuel Smith and a double by Kirkpatrick.

Outer Banks Daredevils scored four runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Outer Banks Daredevils was led by JonesJordan Banks, and Hunter Rameriz, who each had RBIs in the inning.
