Greenbrier Knights Outdone By Tidewater Drillers Blue, 4-3

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 got things moving in the second inning, when Wes Bonney‘s sac fly scored one run for Greenbrier Knights TSL21.
After Tidewater Drillers Blue scored one run in the top of the sixth, Greenbrier Knights TSL21 answered with one of their own. Tidewater Drillers Blue scored when Josh Prinzel drew a walk, scoring one run. Greenbrier Knights TSL21 then answered when Sparky Bannon singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Tidewater Drillers Blue pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Patrick Lundblum singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Zach Updike induced Trent Jones to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and Conner Butler singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Ian Barrett earned the win for Tidewater Drillers Blue. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out three. Justin Brown and Prinzel entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Updike took the loss for Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The pitcher went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out five.
Jeremy Harmon, Chase Brimmer, and Bannon all had one hit to lead Greenbrier Knights TSL21. Greenbrier Knights TSL21 stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Brimmer led the way with two.
Lundblum went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Tidewater Drillers Blue in hits.
