Greenbrier Knights Falls To Tidewater Drillers White
Thursday, July 15, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA
Greenbrier Knights opened up scoring in the first inning.
Tidewater Drillers White pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Jason Covaney induced Aidan Pinto to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored and Kody Abrisz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Tidewater Drillers White scored four runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for Tidewater Drillers White came thanks to a walk by Josh Stevens, a single by Noah Roots, and by Pinto.
Nick Mattfield led things off on the hill for Tidewater Drillers White. The righty surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
Covaney was on the mound for Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The lefthander allowed three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four and walking zero. Danny Padilla threw one inning in relief.
Nick Arnold, Jeremy Harmon, Phillip Woodard, and Brandon Parks each collected one hit to lead Greenbrier Knights TSL21.
