Chesapeake Reapers Loses Lead Early In Defeat To Tidewater Drillers White
Sunday, July 11, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA
Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-1 loss to Tidewater Drillers White on Sunday. Tidewater Drillers White took the lead on a home run in the first inning.
The Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Tidewater Drillers White, giving up 11 runs.
Tidewater Drillers White opened up scoring in the first inning. Aidan Pinto drove in two when Pinto homered.
Tidewater Drillers White scored nine runs in the third inning. Tidewater Drillers White batters contributing to the big inning included Terrence McGowan, Jackson Hughes, Justin Liakos, and Pinto, all driving in runs in the inning.
Caleb Bellisle earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Tidewater Drillers White. The righthander went three innings, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out two. Nick Mattfield threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
