Greenbrier Knights Captures Lead Early To Defeat Outer Banks Daredevils

Outer Banks Daredevils fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-0 loss to Greenbrier Knights on Monday. Greenbrier Knights scored on a walk by Ryan Boyce, a walk by Ricky Sisto, and a walk by Benny Spady in the first inning.
The Outer Banks Daredevils struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Greenbrier Knights, giving up 11 runs.
Greenbrier Knights got things started in the first inning when Boyce drew a walk, scoring one run.
A single by Justin Taylor in the second inning was a positive for Outer Banks Daredevils.
Joshua King earned the victory on the hill for Greenbrier Knights. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Luke Lageman, Kevin Restin, and Wesley Bonney all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Chad Andrzejczyk took the loss for Outer Banks Daredevils. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing zero hits and five runs.
