Greenbrier Knights Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Old Dominion Hitters
Greenbrier Knights defeated Old Dominion Hitters 8-6 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at six with Greenbrier Knights batting in the bottom of the seventh when Ben Capeheart threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Greenbrier Knights.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Greenbrier Knights collected five hits and Old Dominion Hitters seven in the high-scoring affair
Old Dominion Hitters scored three runs in the fifth inning. Old Dominion Hitters scored its runs on a home run by Hunter Cole.
Joe Califano led things off on the mound for Greenbrier Knights. He allowed five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six.
Phillip Forbes was on the hill for Old Dominion Hitters. He surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out six and walking zero.
