Gallet’s Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In Chesapeake Reapers Victory Over Greenbrier Knights

Wednesday, July 7, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA

Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The game was tied at three with Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 batting in the bottom of the seventh when Braxton Gallet singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 scored three runs in the seventh inning, but Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Greenbrier Knights TSL21 came thanks to a single by Gordon Richardson, a groundout by Brandon Parks, and a fielder’s choice by Ben Brombacher.

Eddie Blake earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Chesapeake Reapers TSL21. The fireballer went two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking one. Jacob Raguini threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Patrick Driggers took the loss for Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The pitcher surrendered one run on two hits, walking zero.

Blake went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 in hits. Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jake Messina had ten chances in the field, the most on the team. Messina led Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.

Richardson led Greenbrier Knights TSL21 with three hits in three at bats. Greenbrier Knights TSL21 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jeremy Harmon had the most chances in the field with eight.
