Sea Monsters Falls To Seagulls After Seventh Inning Score

Sea Monsters lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat to Seagulls on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Seagulls batting in the top of the seventh when there was an error, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Seagulls pitchers struck out nine, while Sea Monsterssat down six
Seagulls captured the lead in the second inning. With zero outs in the second inning Shane Gipson drove in one run when he doubled.
In the bottom of the third inning, Sea Monsters tied things up at one. Troy White grounded out, scoring one run.
Chase Walter earned the win for Seagulls. He threw nine innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out nine. Garrett Wente took the loss for Sea Monsters. He went seven innings, giving up two runs, one hit, and striking out four.
White went 0-for-4 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in.
Gipson led Seagulls with one run batted in. He went 1-for-4 on the day.
