Edenton Steamers Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Tidewater Drillers

Edenton Steamers snagged a late lead and defeated Tidewater Drillers 9-5 on Friday. The game was tied at three with Edenton Steamers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Allen Brown singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers was boosted by Houston Wright who went 4-for-5 at the plate. Wright singled in the third, singled in the fifth, homered in the seventh, and singled in the eighth.

Edenton Steamers captured the lead in the second inning. Adam Fine singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Edenton Steamers tied things up at three when Wright singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
