Edenton Steamers Takes 6-3 Victory Over Virginia Beach Sea Dogs

Edenton Steamers wins contest against Virginia Beach Sea Dogs on Tuesday, 6-3

Edenton Steamers got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run for Edenton Steamers.

In the top of the second inning, Virginia Beach Sea Dogs tied things up at one. Sammy Canela hit a solo homer.

Edenton Steamers pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Nate Paulsen doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a sacrifice fly by Tanner Thatch, a groundout by Chase Bruno, and a double by Case Kermode.

Blake Gipson pitched Edenton Steamers to victory. Gipson lasted six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five. Gage Riddick and Bryce Stephens entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Riddick recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Edenton Steamers.
