Early Lead For Fuquay-Varina Twins Seals Fate For Tarboro River Bandits
Tarboro River Bandits fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-5 loss to Fuquay-Varina Twins on Sunday. Fuquay-Varina Twins scored on a home run by J Montgomery in the first inning, a error in the first inning, a triple by C Olmstead in the second inning, and a home run by Oster in the second inning.
Fuquay-Varina Twins got on the board in the first inning when Montgomery homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Tarboro River Bandits scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Tarboro River Bandits was led by Harrison Johnson and Hunter McClean, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Fuquay-Varina Twins scored three runs in the second inning. Olmstead and Oster each drove in runs during the inning.
