Early Lead For Virginia Blasters Seals Fate For Portsmouth Yardbirds

Portsmouth Yardbirds fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-2 loss to Virginia Blasters on Thursday. Virginia Blasters scored on a fielder’s choice by Sean Lang, a walk by Nathan Blucher, a fielder’s choice by Chase Moore, and a single by Devon Tukes in the second inning.

The Portsmouth Yardbirds struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Virginia Blasters, giving up eight runs.

Keanu Walkush got the win for Virginia Blasters. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three. Young Sub HanNoah LeBrun, and Andrew Feliton all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
