The Suffolk Voyagers defeat the Richmond Sluggers 13 – 1.
The Suffolk Voyagers travelled to Mills Godwin HS, home of the Piedmont Collegiate Baseball League, to take on the Richmond Sluggers during our first of four Saturday series with the PCBL.
The Voyagers got out to an early lead, and never looked back, winning the game by a final score of 13 – 1.
Edenton Steamers Outdone By Tarboro River Bandits, 5-2
Jack McIntosh pitched Tarboro River Bandits to victory. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out two and walking one. Kurt Rogers and Porter Braddy entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Braddy recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Tarboro River Bandits.
Gage Riddick took the loss for Edenton Steamers. Riddick surrendered three runs on four hits over one and one-third innings, striking out three.
