Lakewood Legends’s Early Lead Over Suffolk Voyagers Sets Stage For Victory
An early lead helped Lakewood Legends defeat Suffolk Voyagers 10-4 on Tuesday. Lakewood Legends scored on a sacrifice fly by Drew Hill in the first inning, a single by Bren Faulk in the second inning, a double by Austin Kirkpatrick in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Tristan Welch in the second inning.
Lakewood Legends pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Faulk singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Kirkpatrick doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, and Welch‘s sac fly scored one run for Lakewood Legends.
