Norfolk Redbirds Drops Game To Greenbrier Knights After Late Score
Saturday’s game against Greenbrier Knights was a heartbreaker for Norfolk Redbirds, as they lost the lead late in a 16-6 defeat. The game was tied at six with Greenbrier Knights batting in the top of the eighth when Scott McDonough doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Despite the loss, Norfolk Redbirds did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Greenbrier Knights had eight hits on the way to victory.
