Bats Blistered As Lakewood Legends Defeats Outer Banks Daredevils, 11-6

The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Lakewood Legends came out on top against Outer Banks Daredevils, 11-6.

Lakewood Legends got on the board in the second inning. Samuel Smith‘s sac fly scored one run for Lakewood Legends.

Lakewood Legends scored six runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Lakewood Legends was led by SmithDavid LaurentiBren FaulkEvan Keller, and Austin Kirkpatrick, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Outer Banks Daredevils scored three runs in the fourth inning. Outer Banks Daredevils scored its runs on a double by Hunter Gregory.

Dylan Schumacher took the win for Lakewood Legends. He surrendered three runs on two hits over four innings, striking out two. Logan Dunbar and Cody Ray entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cole Taylor took the loss for Outer Banks Daredevils. He surrendered 11 runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out one.

Bo Gonzales led Lakewood Legends with two hits in three at bats. Lakewood Legends was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Keller had the most chances in the field with six.

Outer Banks Daredevils saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Justin TaylorGregory, and Jordan Banks all collected multiple hits for Outer Banks Daredevils.
