Sea Monsters Loses Lead Early In Defeat to Pelicans.

Sea Monsters watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-3 loss to Pelicanson Sunday. Pelicans took the lead on a in the first inning.

Pelicans scored seven runs in the ninth inning. Pelicans’s big inning was driven by a error, a single by Santino Paris, a fielder’s choice by Austin Elledge, a single by Jackson Peterson, and a groundout by Justin Hayes.
Danny Madden earned the win for Pelicans. He tossed six and a third innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and striking out four. Two relievers helped Pelicans close out the victory. Graeme Cherry threw one and two-thirds innings. Nick Bay took the loss for Sea Monsters. He went six and a third innings, surrendering four runs, eight hits, and striking out five.
Sea Monsters had eight hits in the game. Joshua Nellis and William Oliver each collected multiple hits for Sea Monsters. Oliver and Nellis all had two hits to lead Sea Monsters.
