Sea Monsters Falls To Pelicans Despite Collecting More Hits

Even though Sea Monsters collected 13 hits to Pelicans’s 12, they still fell 13-3 on Sunday
Sea Monsters scored three runs in the eighth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Joe Lucas, a single by Garrett Jones, and a double by Dwight Riddick.
Pelicans scored four runs in the eighth inning. Pelicans’s big inning was driven by a fielder’s choice by Pat Downey, a walk by Christopher Iocca, a walk , and a groundout by Joe Klingensmith.
Cody Burnham earned the win for Pelicans. He threw seven innings, surrendering zero runs, eight hits, striking out nine, and walking one. Nick Ott took the loss for Sea Monsters. He tossed three innings, giving up four runs, seven hits, and striking out four.
Sea Monsters had 13 hits in the game. Lucas Terwilliger and Antonio Leite Jr. each collected multiple hits for Sea Monsters. Leite Jr. and Terwilliger all had three hits to lead Sea Monsters.
