Pelicans Defeats Hawks, 5-2

Pelicans took home a 5-2 victory over Hawks on Monday.
Pelicans took an early lead in the first inning. Justin Burrell drove in one when he singled in the first inning.
Pelicans took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Burrell singled off of Liam Carr, driving in one run and Josh Crummer hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.
Michael Biasello earned the win for Pelicans. He pitched five innings, allowing two runs, three hits, striking out six, and walking one. Three relievers helped Pelicans close out the victory. Nick Wood threw three innings. Wood recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Pelicans. Carrtook the loss for Hawks. He went five innings, allowing four runs, eight hits, and walking one.
Pelicans had 13 hits in the game. Burrell, Jackson Peterson, Michael Diodato, and Nick Graham each collected multiple hits for Pelicans. Burrell and Crummer each drove in two runs to lead Pelicans.
Dalton Jackson led Hawks with three hits in four at bats. Hawks was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Garrett Lyons made the most plays with seven.
