Edenton Steamers Defeats Tarboro River Bandits Despite Allowing 5-Run Inning

Tarboro River Bandits scored five runs in the fifth inning, but Edenton Steamers still won 13-9 on Monday. Jarrett MayTyler DunnHarrison Johnson, and Dane Hoggard powered the big inning with RBIs.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Edenton Steamers collected 11 hits and Tarboro River Bandits six in the high-scoring affair

Blake Gipson was the winning pitcher for Edenton Steamers. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking zero. Logan Fleming and Gage Riddick entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Porter Braddy took the loss for Tarboro River Bandits. The hurler went two and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out three.

Jacob Lawler started the game for Edenton Steamers. The righthander lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out five

PCL South All Stars Defeats PCL North All Stars, 6-4

Historic Hicks Field was filled with eager fans as the 2022 Premier Collegiate League All Star Game got underway last night in Edenton, NC.

It was a great night for the fans who made their way to Historic Hicks Field, as they were entertained with big league diving catching, great defensive plays, outstanding pitching performances, some great hits, including a three run home run that eventually was the difference in this 6 – 4 game.

PCL South All Stars scores more runs than PCL North All Stars, takes victory on Saturday to the tune of 6-4

PCL South All Stars got on the board in the first inning when Nate Paulson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

PCL North All Stars evened things up at one in the top of the third inning when Phil Forbes grounded into a double play, scoring one run.

PCL South All Stars pulled away for good with three runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Chase Heath homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

Porter Braddy earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for PCL South All Stars. The ace lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Tanner Thach recorded the last three outs to earn the save for PCL South All Stars.

Aiden Hedgepeth took the loss for PCL North All StarsHedgepeth allowed three hits and three runs over one inning, walking zero.

Cole Bates started the game for PCL South All Stars. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out three and walking zero Andrew Ramos started the game for PCL North All Stars. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five and walking one

PCL South All Stars tallied two home runs on the day. Tate Abbott had a four bagger in the eighth inning. Heath went for the long ball in the fifth inning.

PCL South All Stars totaled ten hits in the game. Heath and Aidan Cottle all managed multiple hits for PCL South All StarsCottle and Heath each collected two hits to lead PCL South All Stars.

Justin Liakos went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead PCL North All Stars in hits. PCL North All Stars was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Warren Bailey had the most chances in the field with seven.

Edenton Steamers Nearly Erases 7-Run Deficit In Loss To Tarboro River Bandits

Tarboro River Bandits built a seven-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Edenton Steamers‘s charge for an 8-7 victory on Thursday. Edenton Steamers tallied six runs in the failed comeback. Hunter ColeCase KermodeJeremiah Boyd, and Jared Beebe each picked up RBIs.

LIam McFadden-Ackman led Tarboro River Bandits to victory by driving in five runs. McFadden-Ackman went 3-for-4 at the plate. McFadden-Ackman drove in runs on a home run in the first, a double in the third, and a single in the fourth.

Tarboro River Bandits opened up scoring in the first inning. Tarboro River Bandits scored one run when Jarrett May singled.

Hazen Lancaster led things off on the mound for Tarboro River Bandits. The hurler surrendered three runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out five.

Edenton Steamers Claims Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Virginia Beach Sea Dogs

Edenton Steamers snagged a late lead and defeated Virginia Beach Sea Dogs 12-5 on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with Edenton Steamers batting in the bottom of the seventh when Tate Abbott singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers earned the victory despite allowing Virginia Beach Sea Dogs to score four runs in the first inning. Bryce Lane and Aidan Pinto powered the big inning with RBIs.

Virginia Beach Sea Dogs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Lane singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers evened things up at four in the bottom of the sixth inning. Bryce Stephens doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Chris Morris took the win for Edenton Steamers. The righthander surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out one and walking zero. Gage Riddick threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Three Edenton Steamers Pitchers Rally Together To Shutout Norfolk Redbirds

Edenton Steamers defeated Norfolk Redbirds 2-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Cole Bates struck out Aidan Feather to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Edenton Steamers pitchers struck out 13, while Norfolk Redbirds pitchers sat down two.

A single by Bryce Jones in the fourth inning was a positive for Norfolk Redbirds.

Despite Strong Fight, Tarboro River Bandits Can’t Top Greenbrier Knights

Tarboro River Bandits fought back after falling down by five runs in the seventh inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 7-5 defeat to Greenbrier Knights on Monday. Tarboro River Bandits scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Harrison Johnson and a triple by Ty Barrango.

Tarboro River Bandits was right in it until Greenbrier Knights doubled in the sixth inning.

Tarboro River Bandits took an early lead in the first inning. Tyler Dunn hit a line drive that was caught, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, Greenbrier Knights tied things up at two. Burton Hahn‘s sac fly scored one run for Greenbrier Knights.

Greenbrier Knights took the lead for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Dalatri doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Hahn doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
