History

The Greenbrier Knights Baseball Club was founded in 1992 in Chesapeake, VA, with the goal of providing amateur baseball players the opportunity to compete against the top amateur teams in the Tidewater area and across the county.

Over the past 31 years, the Greenbrier Knights have competed in various leagues, tournaments and associations, most notably as a member of the Tidewater Summer League, where the Knights have won 9 TSL Championships. Over the years, the Knights have also won 8 Tidewater MABL league championships, 12 regional amateur tournament championships and 2 national amateur championships.

Each year, the Greenbrier Knights Baseball Club puts together one of the most challenging and competitive schedules in the Mid Atlantic region, facing top teams from not only the Tidewater Summer League, but also the Premier Collegiate League, Coastal Plain League, Old North State League, as well as high quality independent teams.

For the 2024 season, the Greenbrier Knights have 36 games on the schedule, and are excited to challenge our players against some of the Mid Atlantic’s top collegiate teams, including the Tri-City Chili Peppers (CPL), Peninsula Pilots (CPL), and the Edenton Steamers (ONSL). In addition, The Greenbrier Knights are scheduled to face Tidewater area teams such as the Virginia Beach Valor, Norfolk Destroyers, GS2 Mothmen and the Coastal Coconuts.

War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, VA will serve as the home field for the Greenbrier Knights 2024 campaign, with away games played Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights, VA, War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, VA (vs Pilots), Historic Hicks Field in Edenton, NC, Paul D Camp Field in Franklin, VA, McReynolds Sports Complex in Yorktown, VA, Granby HS in Norfolk, VA, and Plaza Senior Field in Virginia Beach, VA.
