Sea Monsters Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Seagulls

An early lead helped Sea Monsters defeat Seagulls 5-2 on Tuesday. Sea Monsters scored on a triple by Terrence Pinkston and a single by Lucas Terwilliger in the first inning.
Sea Monsters captured the lead in the first inning. Sea Monsters scored two runs when Terrence Pinkston tripled with zero outs in the first inning.
Tyrin Everette earned the win for Sea Monsters. He tossed seven innings, surrendering two runs, eight hits, and striking out seven. Nick Ott recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Sea Monsters. Andrew Griffin took the loss for Seagulls. He went six and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs, seven hits, and striking out seven.
Sea Monsters collected seven hits. William Oliver and Pinkston each collected multiple hits for Sea Monsters. Oliver went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Sea Monsters in hits. Sea Monsters didn’t commit a single error in the field. Corbin Townsend had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
