Chesapeake Reapers came out swinging in game one of the 2021 TSL Postove Cup Championship Tournament, defeating Drillers White by a final score of 8 – 3.

Tidewater Drillers White Outdone By Chesapeake Reapers, 8-3

Tidewater Drillers White scored three runs in the sixth inning. Tidewater Drillers White batters contributing to the big inning included Ryan Long and Gavin Spencer, all driving in runs in the inning.

Chesapeake Reapers scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Chesapeake Reapers came thanks to singles by Derrick Booker and Jay Woodson, a sacrifice fly by Braxton Gallet, and a double by Jack Flanagan.

Jacob Sherman was on the pitcher’s mound for Chesapeake ReapersSherman lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four.

Tim Blackman was on the mound for Tidewater Drillers White. The southpaw allowed six hits and four runs over four and a third innings, striking out one and walking one. Aidan Williams and Dawson Guzik entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

The Drillers White will head to Game 4 at 7:30pm and await the loser of tonight’s Game 2 in this elimination game.
