Outer Banks Daredevils Falls To Norfolk Redbirds Despite Collecting More Hits

Outer Banks Daredevils out-hit Norfolk Redbirds nine to eight, but it wasn’t enough in a 7-3 loss on Thursday

Outer Banks Daredevils got things started in the first inning when Outer Banks Daredevilsscored one run on a stolen base.

In the top of the second inning, Norfolk Redbirds tied things up at one when Christian Szablewski grounded out, scoring one run.

Norfolk Redbirds pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Carlo Zorola‘s sac fly scored one run for Norfolk Redbirds.

Norfolk Redbirds scored three runs in the fifth inning. Campbell PryorTaylor Heck, and Jordan Hara all drove in runs in the frame.

Ethan Buckley was the winning pitcher for Norfolk Redbirds. He surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out eight. Davis Gurosky and Marco Quintero entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cole Taylor took the loss for Outer Banks Daredevils. He allowed three hits and six runs over five innings, striking out three.
