Pelicans Falls To Seagulls After Seventh Inning Score

Pelicans stayed in it until the end, but Seagulls pulled away late in a 5-0 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at zero with Seagulls batting in the top of the seventh when Andrew Poirierdoubled off of Samuel Wood, driving in two runs.
One bright spot for Pelicans was a double by Nick Graham in the first inning.
John Wicksier earned the win for Seagulls. He went seven innings, giving up zero runs, seven hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Samuel Wood took the loss for Pelicans. He tossed six and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs, nine hits, and striking out one.
Chayton Lukkes led Pelicans with two hits in three at bats. Pelicans didn’t commit a single error in the field. Michael Diodato had the most chances in the field with eight.
