Hawks Captures Lead Early To Defeat Waves

Waves fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 14-3 loss to Hawks on Wednesday. Hawkstook the lead on a double in the first inning.
Hawks captured the lead in the first inning. Garrett Lyons drove in two when he doubled in the first inning.
Hawks scored six runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Hawks came thanks to a double by Tyler Dodson, a single by Andre Marchesseault, a double by Brett Sherron, and a single by Wyatt Brock.
Alex Dingman earned the win for Hawks. He pitched three innings, allowing one run, two hits, and striking out one. Brandon Shirley took the loss for Waves. He threw two and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs, six hits, and striking out three.
Jake Ottinger started the game for Hawks. He threw four innings, allowing two runs, three hits, and striking out six.
Waves collected five hits. Matt Padeway and Collin Porter each collected multiple hits for Waves. Porter and Padeway all had two hits to lead Waves.
Hawks had 15 hits in the game. Dodson, Lyons, Conner Clark, and Sherron each collected multiple hits for Hawks.
