Knights Captures Lead Early To Defeat Daredevils

Daredevils fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-1 loss to Knights on Monday.Knights scored on a walk by Jeff Butler in the first inning, a fielder’s choice by Butler in the second inning, a walk by Trent Jones in the second inning, and a single by Henry Moore in the second inning.
Knights captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Knights.
Daredevils evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. An error scored one run for Daredevils.
Knights took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Benji Rippons induced Jeff Butler to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored and Henry Moore singled off of Rippons, driving in one run.
Knights scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Knights came thanks to a single by Thomas Chisam and a error.
Isaiah Junkins earned the win for Knights. He pitched five innings, surrendering one run, one hit, and striking out five. Rippons took the loss for Daredevils. He threw two innings, surrendering four runs, two hits, and striking out one.
Eli Straw went 0-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in.
Knights collected eight hits. Butler and Chisam each collected multiple hits for Knights.
