Norfolk Redbirds Claims Victory Over Virginia Blasters

Norfolk Redbirds wins contest against Virginia Blasters, 4-1

Maxwell Denny pitched Norfolk Redbirds to victory. He went five innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out ten. Christian Maloney and Tyrin Everette entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Everette recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Norfolk Redbirds.

Nicolas Graziano took the loss for Virginia Blasters. He went four innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out two.

Nicholas Hussey and Jordan Hara each managed one hit to lead Norfolk Redbirds.

Lakewood Legends Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Virginia Beach Shredders

Lakewood Legends took the lead late and defeated Virginia Beach Shredders 6-2 on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Lakewood Legends batting in the bottom of the sixth when Tristan Welch singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Lakewood Legends tied things up at one when Brian Rapillosingled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Lakewood Legends pulled away for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Jared Jordan grounded out, scoring one run and Drew Hill grounded out, scoring one run.

Bo Gonzales was credited with the victory for Lakewood Legends. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out two. Kyle McShaffryDylan Schumacher, and Bren Faulk all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

William VanSickle took the loss for Virginia Beach Shredders. He surrendered three runs on two hits over five innings, striking out four.

Outer Banks Daredevils fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-0 loss to Greenbrier Knights on Monday. Greenbrier Knights scored on a walk by Ryan Boyce, a walk by Ricky Sisto, and a walk by Benny Spady in the first inning.

The Outer Banks Daredevils struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Greenbrier Knights, giving up 11 runs.

Greenbrier Knights got things started in the first inning when Boyce drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Justin Taylor in the second inning was a positive for Outer Banks Daredevils.

Joshua King earned the victory on the hill for Greenbrier Knights. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Luke LagemanKevin Restin, and Wesley Bonney all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

High Score Not Enough To Secure Win For Portsmouth Yardbirds Over Suffolk Voyagers

June 10, 2019 – Virginia Beach, VA

Suffolk Voyagers bested Portsmouth Yardbirds in a high-scoring affair, 15-6.

The Portsmouth Yardbirds struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Suffolk Voyagers, giving up 15 runs.

Suffolk Voyagers fired up the offense in the second inning, when Talmon Hubbard threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Suffolk Voyagers.

In the bottom of the second inning, Portsmouth Yardbirds tied things up at one when Nick Rinaldi induced Claude Hayes to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Suffolk Voyagers pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Nathan Mixhit a solo homer.

Portsmouth Yardbirds notched three runs in the seventh inning. Dominque Barnes had an RBI single in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Suffolk Voyagers scored six runs in the fourth inning. Suffolk Voyagers‘s big inning was driven by walks by Jinwoo Baek and Nick Davis, a single by Mix, by Matthew LaBadie, and an error on a ball put in play by Jimmy Griffin.

Rinaldi was the winning pitcher for Suffolk Voyagers. He surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out two. Shawn McFegganEric Minor, and Gage Riddick all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Virginia Blasters watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-6 loss to Suffolk Voyagers on Thursday.

Virginia Blasters collected three hits and Suffolk Voyagers had seven in the high-scoring affair.

In the first inning, Suffolk Voyagers got their offense started when Aaron Morse grounded out, scoring one run.

Virginia Beach Shredders took the lead late and defeated Portsmouth Yardbirds 13-12 on Thursday. Virginia Beach Shredders was down 12-9 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Tyler Keaton homered on a 2-1 count, scoring four runs.

Keaton led Virginia Beach Shredders to victory by driving in six runs. He went 2-for-2 at the plate. Keaton drove in runs on a sacrifice fly in the first, a single in the fourth, and a grand slam in the fifth.

Portsmouth Yardbirds opened up scoring in the first inning. Portsmouth Yardbirds scored one run when Daniel Qin doubled.

Ben Vansickle was the winning pitcher for Virginia Beach Shredders. He allowed four hits and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Logan Sizemore and Jack Howellentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Sizemorerecorded the last three outs to earn the save for Virginia Beach Shredders.

Greenbrier Knights‘s bats were strong against Norfolk Redbirds on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as Greenbrier Knights fell 25-10.

The Greenbrier Knights struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Norfolk Redbirds, giving up 25 runs.

Norfolk Redbirds opened up an early lead in the second inning when Nicholas Hussey doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

After Norfolk Redbirds scored four runs in the top of the seventh, Greenbrier Knights answered with four of their own. Norfolk Redbirds scored when Nathan Lozar singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, Peter Stauber grounded out, scoring one run, and Hussey singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Greenbrier Knights then answered when Ricky Sisto drew a walk, scoring one run, Colby Gunter singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Scott McDonoughsingled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Wesley Bonney‘s sac fly scored one run for Greenbrier Knights.

Norfolk Redbirds took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Lozartripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Ben Berger singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Hussey grounded out, scoring one run.
