Late Score Costs Bluefish Against Fightin’ Crabs

Bluefish lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Fightin’ Crabs on Sunday. Fightin’ Crabs was down 2-1 in the top of the eighth inning when John Tierney Jr. tripled off of Ashton Knutson, driving in two runs.
Fightin’ Crabs took an early lead in the first inning. Fightin’ Crabs scored one run when Ben MacDonald singled with two outs in the first inning.
Bluefish evened things up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. A wild pitch by Trevor Smith scored one run for Bluefish.
Franklin Miller earned the win for Fightin’ Crabs. He threw four innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out one. Ashton Knutson took the loss for Bluefish. He pitched one inning, giving up three runs, two hits, striking out three, and walking one.
