Steady Offensive Production Leads Greenbrier Knights To Big Win Over Tidewater Drillers White

Sunday, July 18, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA

A run here and a run there helped propel Greenbrier Knights TSL21 to a big win over Tidewater Drillers White on Sunday, 7-1

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 got things started in the first inning when Lincoln Lubsen homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Sam Slevin earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The fireballer allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero. Dylan Schumacher, Danny Padilla, and Patrick Driggers all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Caleb Bellisle took the loss for Tidewater Drillers White. Bellisle lasted two innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two and walking zero.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 socked one home run on the day. Lubsen had a long ball in the first inning.

Lubsen went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Greenbrier Knights TSL21 in hits.

Tidewater Drillers White fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 2-0 loss to Greenbrier Knights TSL21 on Saturday. Greenbrier Knights TSL21 took the lead on an error in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Greenbrier Knights TSL21 pitchers struck out six, while Tidewater Drillers White sat down five.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Greenbrier Knights TSL21.

A double by Dawson Guzik in the first inning was a positive for Tidewater Drillers White.

An early lead helped Tidewater Drillers Blue defeat Chesapeake Reapers 12-7 on Saturday. Tidewater Drillers Blue scored on a double by Jonny Wall, a single by Kyle Edwards, a single by Ronaldo DelDuca, a single by Patrick Lundblom, a single by Josh Prinzel, a wild pitch by Jacob Colbus, a single by Wall, and a single by Ryan Peterson in the first inning.

Tidewater Drillers Blue collected 14 hits and Chesapeake Reapers had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Chesapeake Reapers scored three runs in the second inning. Chesapeake Reapers scored its runs on a error by Jake Messina.

Josh Prinzel threw a gem on Thursday for Tidewater Drillers Blue, allowing zero runs and besting Chesapeake Reapers by a score of 5-0

A single by Noah Hall in the sixth inning was a positive for Chesapeake Reapers.

Greenbrier Knights Falls To Tidewater Drillers White

Thursday, July 15, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA

Greenbrier Knights opened up scoring in the first inning.

Tidewater Drillers White pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Jason Covaney induced Aidan Pinto to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored and Kody Abrisz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Tidewater Drillers White scored four runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for Tidewater Drillers White came thanks to a walk by Josh Stevens, a single by Noah Roots, and by Pinto.

Nick Mattfield led things off on the hill for Tidewater Drillers White. The righty surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out three and walking one.

Covaney was on the mound for Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The lefthander allowed three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four and walking zero. Danny Padilla threw one inning in relief.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat to Tidewater Drillers Blue on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with Tidewater Drillers Blue batting in the top of the sixth when Kyle Edwards‘s sac fly scored one run for Tidewater Drillers Blue.

Tidewater Drillers White Loses Lead Early In Defeat To Reapers

Wednesday, July 14, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA

Tidewater Drillers White fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-4 loss to Chesapeake Reapers on Wednesday. Chesapeake Reapers took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Tidewater Drillers White struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Chesapeake Reapers, giving up ten runs.

Chesapeake Reapers fired up the offense in the first inning. Dylan Weatherly drove in two when Weatherly singled.

Chesapeake Reapers scored four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Chesapeake Reapers was led by Derrick Booker, Jake Messina, and Jack Flanagan, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Alex Lepow was on the hill for Chesapeake Reapers. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out one.

Tim Blackman was on the pitcher’s mound for Tidewater Drillers White. The lefthander allowed two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out three. Caleb Bellisle and Aidan Cunningham entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.

Alex Fenney, Kade Abrisz, Ryan Ballard, Noah Roots, Elias Negron, Terrence McGowan, and Gavin Spencer all had one hit to lead Tidewater Drillers White.

Chesapeake Reapers collected 13 hits. Flanagan, Jay Woodson, Booker, and Braxton Gallet all collected multiple hits for Chesapeake Reapers. Chesapeake Reapers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Messina had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

Greenbrier Knights Defeats Resilient Chesapeake Reapers

Tuesday, July 13, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA

Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 fought back after falling down by seven runs in the seventh inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 10-8 defeat to Greenbrier Knights TSL21 on Tuesday. Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 scored five runs in the failed comeback on a single by Charles Gordon, a double by Matt Kinne, a sacrifice fly by Nicholas Scanlon, and a single by Elijah Wilson.

Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 collected eight hits and Greenbrier Knights TSL21 had eight in the high-scoring affair.

Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 opened up scoring in the second inning.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 evened things up at one in the top of the third inning. Greenbrier Knights TSL21 scored one run when Brandon Parks doubled.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning.

Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 notched five runs in the seventh inning. Chesapeake Reapers TSL21‘s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Gordon and Wilson, a sac fly by Scanlon, and a double by Kinne.

Greenbrier Knights TSL21 scored four runs in the seventh inning. Greenbrier Knights TSL21‘s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Danny Padilla and a double by Wes Bonney.

Sam Slevin got the win for Greenbrier Knights TSL21. The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs while striking out five.

Jacob Sherman took the loss for Chesapeake Reapers TSL21. The bulldog surrendered six runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out five.

Noah Hall led Chesapeake Reapers TSL21 with two hits in two at bats.
