Sea Monsters Loses Lead Early In Defeat to Knights
June 12, 2017 – Virginia Beach, VA
Sea Monsters watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-4 loss to Knights on Monday. Knights scored on an error, a single by Nick Lees, and a walk by Thomas Chisamin the second inning.
Knights took an early lead in the second inning. An error scored one run for Knights.
Knights scored four runs in the eighth inning. Knights’s big inning was driven by a single by Henry Moore, a single by Trent Jones, and a single by Samuel Neal.
Tony Majette earned the win for Knights. He tossed six innings, allowing one run, three hits, striking out one, and walking zero. Two relievers helped Knights close out the victory.
Isaiah Junkins threw two innings. Tyghe Bowers took the loss for Sea Monsters. He pitched one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs, three hits, and striking out two.
William Oliver, Terrence Pinkston, and Robert Saghy each drove in one run to lead Sea Monsters.
Knights had 12 hits in the game. Moore and Nick Lees each collected multiple hits for Knights.
