Suffolk Voyagers Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Virginia Beach Shredders

Suffolk Voyagers snagged a late lead and defeated Virginia Beach Shredders 5-4 on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Suffolk Voyagers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Bryce Smith singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Virginia Beach Shredders fired up the offense in the first inning, when Parker Burch doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, Virginia Beach Shredders tied things up at three when Daniel Liljasingled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Suffolk Voyagers took the lead for good with two runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Gage Riddick grounded out, scoring one run.

Nick Rinaldi pitched Suffolk Voyagers to victory. He allowed four hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two. Jared MooreHyeon-Ho Cho, and Riddick all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Riddick recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Suffolk Voyagers.

Logan Simmons took the loss for Virginia Beach Shredders. He allowed five hits and five runs over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out six.

SmithRiddickSouth TrimbleChristopher Allen, and Jinwoo Baek each collected one hit to lead Suffolk Voyagers.

Lakewood Legends Can’t Quite Erase 5-Run Deficit In Loss To Virginia Blasters

Lakewood Legends fought back after falling down by five runs in the fourth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 10-8 defeat to Virginia Blasters on Saturday. Lakewood Legends scored five runs in the failed comeback. Tristan WelchBren Faulk, and Faulkpowered the rally with RBIs.

Despite the loss, Lakewood Legends did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Virginia Blasters had eight hits on the way to victory.

Lakewood Legends fired up the offense in the first inning, when Austin Kirkpatrick hit a solo homer.

Virginia Blasters pulled away for good with eight runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Keanu Walkush‘s sac fly scored one run for Virginia Blasters, Sean Lang drew a walk, scoring one run, Braeden Nielsen singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Chase Moore drew a walk, scoring one run, Devon Tukes doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run for Virginia Blasters.

Lakewood Legends notched three runs in the fifth inning. Lakewood Legends scored its runs on an RBI home run by Welch.

Nicolas Graziano led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Virginia Blasters. He went five innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out five.

Nytorious Cooler was on the hill for Lakewood Legends. He allowed three hits and five runs over three and a third innings, striking out two. Dylan SchumacherLogan Dunbar, and Azriel Davidson each contributed in relief for Lakewood Legends.

Norfolk Redbirds Falls To Virginia Beach Shredders After Fifth Inning Score

Norfolk Redbirds lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Virginia Beach Shredders on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Virginia Beach Shredders batting in the top of the fifth when Stephen Felton doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Virginia Beach Shredders pitchers struck out five, while Norfolk Redbirds sat down ten.

Norfolk Redbirds opened up scoring in the first inning, when Darren McKeown homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Nick Mackedon earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Virginia Beach Shredders. He went five innings, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out five and walking zero.

Dylan Francoeur took the loss for Norfolk Redbirds. He surrendered three runs on three hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.

Norfolk Redbirds hit one home run on the day. McKeown had a long ball in the first inning.

Donald Arceneaux didn’t allow a single run against Greenbrier Knights, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Lakewood Legends to a 6-0 victory on Thursday

Lakewood Legends secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fourth inning. Lakewood Legends put the pressure on, lead by a single by Logan Dunbar, a sacrifice fly by TJ Wynkoop, a home run by Tristan Welch, and a groundout by Drew Hill.

Lakewood Legends put up five runs in the fourth inning. Lakewood Legends batters contributing to the big inning included WelchWynkoopDunbar, and Hill, all knocking in runs in the inning.

A single by Tredell Blow in the first inning was a positive for Greenbrier Knights.

Arceneaux got the start for Lakewood Legends. He surrendered zero runs on six hits over six innings, striking out seven.

Jacob Crumbly was on the mound for Greenbrier Knights. He went three and a third innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out one. Smith threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

Suffolk Voyagers Clinches Lead In Eighth Inning For Victory Over Outer Banks Daredevils

Suffolk Voyagers snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-4 victory over Outer Banks Daredevils on Thursday. Suffolk Voyagers trailed 4-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Aaron Morse tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Eric Minor pitched Suffolk Voyagers to victory. He allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out one. Hyeon-Ho Cho and Bryce Smith entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

John Keane took the loss for Outer Banks Daredevils. He surrendered six runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning.

Shawn McFeggan started the game for Suffolk Voyagers. He allowed three hits and three runs over five innings, striking out eight Kole Register started the game for Outer Banks Daredevils. He allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out five

Early Lead For Virginia Blasters Seals Fate For Portsmouth Yardbirds

Portsmouth Yardbirds fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-2 loss to Virginia Blasters on Thursday. Virginia Blasters scored on a fielder’s choice by Sean Lang, a walk by Nathan Blucher, a fielder’s choice by Chase Moore, and a single by Devon Tukes in the second inning.

The Portsmouth Yardbirds struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Virginia Blasters, giving up eight runs.

Keanu Walkush got the win for Virginia Blasters. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three. Young Sub HanNoah LeBrun, and Andrew Feliton all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Noah Floyd took the loss for Portsmouth Yardbirds. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and six runs.

Daniel Qin went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Portsmouth Yardbirds in hits.

Lakewood Legends out-hit Norfolk Redbirds eight to seven, but it wasn’t enough in an 8-6 loss on Tuesday

Despite the loss, Lakewood Legends did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Norfolk Redbirds had seven hits on the way to victory.

Lakewood Legends captured the lead in the third inning. An error scored two runs for Lakewood Legends.

Norfolk Redbirds evened things up at one in the top of the second inning when Jordon Wrightsingled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Norfolk Redbirds took the lead for good with four runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Christian Szablewski doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Wright singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs for Norfolk Redbirds.

Lakewood Legends scored three runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Bren Faulk and an error on a ball put in play by Jared Jordan.

Maxwell Denny led things off on the mound for Norfolk Redbirds. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out two. Marco Quintero recorded the last out to earn the save for Norfolk Redbirds.
